Pulling the central drive shaft out of our kiddie carnival ride restoration project. Assessing the damage and creating a game plan for future repairs

Replacing bearings and seals in the right angle gearbox / speed reducer for our King Amusement Co Supersonic Rocket ride.

Creating a fixture to mount my angle grinder in a way that allows me to remove controlled amounts of metal from a shaft that isn’t supposed to be welded.

This week I tear apart the electric motor for our King Amusement Company Supersonic Rocket Ride. This is a 1 hp Dayton motor with a centrifugal clutch. It needed new bearings, removal of some internal oxidation, touching up some insulation and a fresh coat of paint. Ran into a problem with the cooling fan though
