This week we pull the main shaft out of the King Amusement Co Supersonic Rocket ride. This is a job I tried to accomplish a few weeks ago.
Due to the weight, I hauled the ride over to my day job and pulled the shaft out through the top of the tower with a forklift.
This clears up a few questions I had about the assembly. Then we clean up all the old grease, assess the damage to the shaft, and make a game plan for moving forward with repairs.
Furthermore, I put the UV cure printer into service to make a custom license plate for the ride.
